Hey my name is Brian. Me being a travel buff as well, I found this website that allows users to document our travels through online journals, digital mapping, and guidebooks. It is so cool to see where others have gone and what they have seen – it really sends that bug to get up and go right back into me. It’s call www.sosauce.com. If you get a chance check it out, and check my profile out. I am sure you won’t be disappointed. Stay well, be happy, and keep smiling. Thanks
Hello Nora!
I stumbled upon your blog a while ago and today I found out that you were also on Matador, randomly checking profiles :) You are absolutely right by saying that travelling is a lifestyle, I have been travelling since 1 and I can't stop. Next month I'll be heading off for a round the world trip making a living with my photography skills hopefully, I cross my fingers and believe that my passion WILL lead me somewhere :)
Good luck in your trips!
Daniel
Hi Nora,
Nice to see you on here. I came up to NYC for the Matador/SoSauce.com BBQ and am jumping into both online communities now that I've wrapped up my travels (for the near future).

Can't say I'm not jealous of your living situation though, I love the Big Island!
Profile Full Bio
About me
I AM Canadian. I AM traveling the world, and have been since 2007. I AM a total out-of-control foodie. I spend hours contemplating how to prepare the perfect dinner each day. I AM an adrenaline junkie who is coming to grips with mortality. I AM putting the finishing touches on my first book, and waiting for the perfect tv deal to come knocking. I AM The Professional Hobo.
Why I travel
I travel to fulfill a lifelong dream, passion, and calling. I make a living (if you can call it that!) with writing, and an internet connection no matter where I go.
Travel style
I'm a full-time traveler, and I travel in a financially sustainable manner with a location independent income, working in trade for accommodation, and judicious spending. Travel for me is a lifestyle and not just a vacation or trip. It can last a lifetime, or two weeks. And returning "home" doesn't have to mean the end of the trip; are you open to new ideas and learning new things? Then travel away, my friend.
Before I die I'd like to
I'm doing it! And I ask myself every day: if this were my last day, what would I have changed or done differently? If I can answer that question, then I must get out there and do it!
Let's collaborate
I am a Professional Hobo and Freelance Writer/Video Host, and Actor/Singer/Dancer. I am always looking for a new place in the world to hang my hat for a time and allow me to explore and learn and immerse myself in culture, society, and new friends. I am also looking for paid writing opportunities (on the subjects of travel and personal finance). Ultimately, I would like to host a travel-related television show, as well as travel the world speaking about adventure and inspiration.
Sports I do
mountaineering, hiking, rock climbing, rapelling, caving, bungee jumping, skydiving, motorcycle riding, dancing (if you can call it a sport), swimming...the list goes on.
I want to make a difference by
Inspiring people to take control of their lives and live out their passions and dreams. To say "tomorrow I'll get to it" is a death sentence. But people also need to add a dose of "reality" to their lives: plan for tomorrow. Nobody else will do it for you. But just don't do it at the expense of living for today. There is indeed a balance in life: everything in moderation.

The mission: To climb Australia’s highest mountain, Mt Kosciuszko (pronounced kahz-ee-ahz-koh) at 2,228 meters above sea level. The highest peak on the continent. A feat for anybody aiming to climb the highest peaks on each continent. A real notch for the climbing belt, if you...

What do you see when you think of Hawaiian food? If you're like me, you conjure up images of fresh fruits (bananas and pineapples being the most prolific in the image, but generally anything that will fit on top of the Tropicana lady's head will do), seafood (Hawaii is, after...

In the spirit of adventure and frugality (seeing that my oh-so-lucrative writing career doesn't exactly pave the way to the Hilton just yet - well maybe it does, as you'll learn later), we decided that it might be kicky to sleep in the car every other night for our recent trip around the Big...

I have a huge request of my fellow Matadorians:
I'm one of 10 finalists to win a trip to the Galapagos, which I'm stoked to do....it's such a special place in the world, and with my love of nature and critters, it would be a dream come true for The Professional Hobo.
