Hey Keri! I know we share at least 2 things in common...growing up in a small, north Florida town, and a love of Chipotle burritos. :) I really enjoy reading your blogs. I think you're a great writer, and I hope to hear about where you ended up in South America. Good Luck!

Hey! Pura vidaaaaa! You're my absolute idol! What you've done is just what I want to do with my life! XD Too bad I don't know how to achieve it yet! XP I read you were here in my country, I hope you enjoyed it to the maximum, because it's a great country for tourists! A little bit boring for metropolis-lovers like me but still, it's beautiful! I'll be following your blog, and pura vida again!!
Hey hey,
thanks for the comment on the blog. I think being more forthright when we were 9 was an easier way to operate in the "dating world". And sorry to hear about your ex-bf peeing on your sleeping bag. In my view, that is always grounds for ending relationships. hah.
have you noticed your pic is the face of matador?? pretty awesome!
anyway, hope you're well! you still in Fla?
take care, Stu
i got it and am enjoying it. muchas gracias.
Hey Keri. I know we don't know each other, but we're friends on here. I'm about to head down to Chile to visit my younger sister, and we are planning a trip to Patagonia. Mostly the Chilean side. I really wanted to see Perito Moreno, which I heard was across the border from Torres del Paine. I didn't know if you had any advice, or websites that I could figure out travel arrangements or hostels, etc.

About me
After 10 moves in the past 6 years I'm finally settling down for a bit in New Orleans. I'll be traveling through books and scholarly articles instead of overcrowded buses and trains for a change. Looking forward to this new adventure in stationariness..
Why I travel
I travel to see friends. I'll go anywhere for a slumber party.
Ideal place to watch the sunset
In a sailboat, when it happens one day...
Ideal place to watch the sunrise
Machu Picchu, after 5 days of hiking to her
Before I die I'd like to
find someone to grow old along with me.
I felt the most immersed in a foreign culture when
I found myself throwing confetti and giving kisses to a young bride and groom at their wedding ceremony in Potosi, Bolivia AND while wearing an 82 year old woman's shoes during a night of Tango with my Argentine friends.
Let's collaborate
I get extremely discounted hotel rates. Who has flight deals?!
I want to make a difference by
Bringing some of that Latin American affection to the states.

This past weekend, some three hours outside the bustling city of Atlanta in the rural community of Plains, Georgia, I sat in a hand crafted wooden rocking chair and participated in one of small town America’s finest traditions – the good old-fashioned porch talk.
The front porch – where...

To all you writers out there: this one's for you! Here's an easy story: Think church, think guns, think gun sales at church, think Jesus, think heaven/hell. Think: This should be easy.
I've had a fascination with BEAST FEASTs for four years now, though their history spans back...

A Super-Bowl in Callahan, Florida?
The rationale had something to do with exposing small town U.S.A. to the world. To me it just seemed impossible. Traffic was already at a stand-still and we still had a week before kick-off.
It took...

I was probably Frederich Von Schiller in a past life. I know that's against the rules - to choose someone cool and claim common ancestry - but I'm gonna do it. My brother tells me that we could be fulfilling things in this life that maybe when we were a mosquito we couldn't quite get around...

Germany is cold but I've got friends. That's the good news.
Believe it or not, I ventured all the way to Germany in the fall without a coat. Our plane landed in Cologne at 7:00 in the morning. The sun was just peeking its way over the trees and I could see ice on the wings of the plane....
