Remember Anais Nin - "We write to taste life twice, once in the moment, the other in the reflection."
When I can't "Go" writing does help. I live it again and again . . . and each time in different ways. The double-edged sword of distance and longing provides unique perspectives.
Then again, once I left for the first time, I never really came home.
Profile Full Bio
About me
I am a recent graduate from UWE, Bristol with a degree in English Language and Linguistics. I am currently studying a diploma in Copywriting. I would love to be a travel writer, or have someone pay me to see the world and research. Also, I am so passionate about food, I would happily be a food critic! Perhaps a travelling food critic! I love the outdoors, and am adventurous, love trying new things, especially adrenalie pumping, it keeps me feeling alive! I am currently working part -time whilst looking for a decent job to fund my next adventures, but currently travelling around England visiting new towns and cities as cheap as possible and experiencing new things! Always in search of a bargain, and always on the hunt for people crazier than me!!
Why I travel
to experience new cultures, see the world, open my eyes, to meet new people and share new moments, and sample the food (food again!) and try to speak the language.
Travel style
I travelled for 6 months with my friend, with my backpack, always knowing you have someone to natter to. Am thinking of travelling solo though, but with a good group of people, and a lot of laughs, that's the best way- treavelling happy.
Ideal place to watch the sunset
Langkawi, Malaysia on a beach mat with a cocktail or 3 during happy hour
I felt the most immersed in a foreign culture when
I meet a local and can experience life with them, in a homestay for instance, or eating out on the streets amongst locals. Also, when I don't meet a tourist for days, and no-one can speak English so communication is done by a lot of pointing and nodding.
Let's collaborate
I'm a freelance writer looking to gain more experience in the writing field. I also love taking photos and interested in any photo opportunities along with writing.
Sports I do
Climb, Swim
Tunes I rock out to
I love all sorts from rock, pop, world music, reggae, panpipes!!, classical, i love really obscure music too including throat whistling (imagine trying to do that?!). I normally compile a music list when I travel of songs I hear and mean most to me, so whenever I hear them today, it always reminds me of a person or a moment :)

It's been over 5 months now that I returned home from my round the world travels lasting 6 months, and yet I still have itchy feet and can't seem to sit still for more than 5 mintues without daydreaming about my next destination, or leafing through travel guides on where I could possibly go next...
