Places I want to go to:

I plan on taking a 6 month trip going from London to Cape Town travling by freighter ship from the US to the UK and then riding my 1969 Triumph Tiger down to Cape Town. I'll being hitting up Portugal, France, Israel, Uganda, Rwanda and South Africa through WWOOF.

About me:

I've been traveling by myself since April of 2004. I love to go home ever now and then, but I haven't been home in three years, my folks are probably a little distraught over this. I realize that it may be a long time for some, but I can't just see a little bit of the world and be satisfied with it.

Photography, I got my first camera when I was in Japan and I haven't stopped burning film since. Yes film. It's not dead, it jsut smells funny. I only use digital for pub crawls.

Travel style:

As long as the company is good I don't mind traveling with three people, but no more than that. If I just want to get away I'll stick with my camera and my pack with a good book lodged in there somewhere.

Reunion - Alan Lightman (very sad and acurately describes the bruning that love and desire create). Count of Monte Cristo - Dumas (great charcter development)

Someone very social (I tend to be shy at the start of my travels)

Protecting those that need it. Teaching those that want it. Being there for those who couldn't.

Some French and Spanish

I felt the most immersed in a foreign culture when:

I wake up in the morning and realize that I'm not at home. I'll get out of bed and think I'm still in my old bedroom. It's been years and I still get that feeling.

Why I travel:

To understand, experince, and to live. Nothing to me feels better than when I get in a country and no one knows me and I'm making a living all on my own. Kind of freeing.

On the roof tops of the Old City of Jerusalem

Ideal place to watch the sunset:

A camp ground on the beach of Monteray, California

Before I die I'd like to:

Buy my dad his dream car ('55 Chevy).
Send my mom and stepdad on a RTW trip.
Go on a camping trip with my nephew.
Travel with my younger brother.
Patch things up with my older brother.
Get my older sister to see more of the world around her.
See my younger sister become the woman she wants to be.

'Oppah!!'

A single word that inspires so much anger in me now of days. This word didn't have this affect on me until recently. Before this word was a celebration of drinking. Now it was word on my s$%t list.
