NO SHITAKE...REALLY dude we will so have to hang out. I am applying for the work/holiday visa next month and leaving by the end of 2009 probably going to Brisbane cause Cairns has hot hot weather and Sydney is too big etc. Been doing a lot of research on it and submitting applications for jobs. Maybe we can be roomies. How long do you plan to stay in Australia cause I wanna live and work there for a while. Do you scuba dive?

Hi there, I'm brand new to this whole Matador site (as of like 2 hours ago) so forgive me if this bold, but I happened to look through your profile and noticed you have a fondness (in an un-gay way - I'm assuming - not that there would be anything wrong with that) for Mr. Ben Harper. And since you're a traveler, I thought it would be interesting to tell you about my local bar here in Verona Italy that is basically a Ben Harper shrine - the owner, a very dear friend, is one of Ben's biggest fan's.

When Ben played in our L'Arena in Verona, he came to the bar to check the place out after hearing a local Italian had dedicated his place to him. Manu, the bar owner, and Ben Harper ended up hanging out that night and he plans on seeing him again soon (apparently). So if you are ever around this part of Europe, you should definitely look into stopping by Verona and having a drink at Oberdan Cafe; its walls are covered in framed posters, pictures and BHarper paraphernalia, and the stereo rarely veers far from his music. It's quite an experience to walk off of Verona's historic marble Italian streets into this beautiful bar dedicated to a kick-ass American musician like Ben. :) I'm home now from Greece. I can't decide where to go next. Prague, Germany, Florence...ahhhhh so hard to choose....

I would like to pay off the loans i have taken out for school so i need to make money but doing something fun... i've been applying to cruise ships and resorts and national parks and things but i don't have any definite plans... any ideas for a fun job?

No worries! I may be able to give some more advice if you like...feel free to ask! We drove around Italy for 5 weeks, 6 weeks in France (3 one year, 3 the next), a bit in Spain (Costa del Sol) and parts of Germany, Austria and Czech Republic.
