Hey Nancy, Just saw your comment on my "last days of the postcard" item over at World Hum. That's great that you ran into Sherry! I was so excited when I saw her story in the SF Chronicle because I was there at lunch when she kind of accidentally pitched the idea to John Flinn... and he said, "if you write it, I'll run it." And then after he left we all jumped up and high-fived each other! Ha.

Will you be back at Book Passage this year?

I will be at Book Passage 2008. I have to get off my butt and send an article to the Chronicle. Sherry was lucky that she got to pitch in person. For some reason I'm doing everything else but sending this article to him. Maybe today I'll hit the "send" button.

Will you be back at Book Passage? I plan to bring a laptop with me this year. Do you have a laptop and if you do, what brand do you recommend? I'd love to read an article on laptops for travel writers, but it would need to be updated constantly.
