I'm fired up on:

Writing about my observations, surfing and skating, photography, and shakin' my groove thang on the dance floor wherever/whenever possible!

Unwritten Law, AFI, Deathcab for Cutie, the Pixies, Catpower, the Noisettes, TV on the Radio, Bloc Party, Mana, Bebe, any salsa or mariachi, Gorillaz, any tune that that lyrics move me. I'm big on anything with passion and soul.

Travel style:

I like to keep an open mind. Usually, I will travel to anywhere I have friends because locals are the best tour guides, you get a free place to stay (usually), and you have an automatic travel buddy that you can catch up with. I like to become part of the local scene where I am as much as possible.

I felt the most immersed in a foreign culture when:

I cut off all my long American hair and getting a pixie cut in Barcelona. Then, at least I looked European instead of gringa.

Why I travel:

Every new place I experience brings out another best part of myself I wasn't able to connect with before. It's a way of testing all the many emotions that make me who I am.

Ideal place to watch the sunset:

the Waiohai hotel's lawn (drinking a Tai Chi) in Kauai
