I live in Kharkiv, Ukraine. Kharkiv is a beautiful city on the Northeast of Ukraine. Actually, the city has two names – Kharkov in Russian and Kharkiv in Ukrainian. It was a capital of Ukraine in 1919 – 1934. Today, Kharkiv is one of the biggest scientific and industrial centers in Ukraine.

The local population is peaceful and most hospitable. Ukrainian people are warm and particularly friendly to visitors. It is not at all uncommon for Ukrainians to invite strangers into their own homes.
