the italians say that americans live just to work; apparently i work just to travel... i graduated from reed college in '04, and i've been traveling/living/working abroad on and off ever since... teaching english as a foreign language has taken me back to italy and back again. as well as a spring spent volunteering in rural ecuador. i sojourned to New Zealand last spring (their fall) and now i'm pretending to be a grown up for a bit (teaching high school!)... looking forward to the next adventure...

Thanks for your bloggin on Ecuador. I will be there in two weeks and it is great to read some of your insights. Tungurahua is going off right now and I am heading to Banos the 3rd day I'm there. What was the name of the hostel you stayed in? Would you recommend it?
Thanks again!
