Sikkim, Benares,Thailand, mountains near Sapa, VN, Japan, NZ (of course), actually it's difficult to think of anywhere I haven't liked. It's all about the experience!
Places I want to go to:
Everywhere and anywhere! I've been obsessed with Tibet and Central Asia since I was a child. I remember reading a National Geographic book and the names, Samarkand, Urumqi, and Almaty got lodged in my brain. So far, the closest I've been is Sikkim in India and I'm dreaming of the day I can explore some more. (Travel fund donations graciously accepted!)
About me:
Serial expat: I've lived in the U.S., the U.K., New Zealand, Vietnam, and Japan and have travelled many places in between. I feel most at home in South East Asia, but currently live in beautiful New Zealand. I've made Auckland my home for the last ten years in between trips and work abroad, and I believe it to be one of the best cities in the world for living. We've pretty much got everything you need here without the stress of other major centres. I'm really interested in food, culture, and identity, and I write a blog about the multicultural aspect of food in New Zealand called Threespoons (link below).I'm also the regional contributor for Pocketcultures.com (link also below)where we explore countries and culture from the local point of view.
I've just looked at your blog for the first time. Fantastic work, I love it. When are they going to invent scratch and sniff computer screens?? Will definately be following you.
Thanks for making me hungry!

have to do to get through...
