Favorite places I've been:

West coast beaches of the world (Ericera/Portugal, Pavones/Costa Rica, Ragland/New Zealand, yada/yada) yup, anywhere on the westcoast is better. The climate is more dynamic (Better Surf).

Mountains. Love Snowboarding. Austrian slopes like Mayerhofen (huge runs with extreme terrain). The Slopes of Canadas Okanogan (Best powder). Tahoe, Aspen (the States know how to do it).
Basically any place with and untapped resorce of H2O.

Places I want to go to:

Rugby World Cup (France)

Sri Lanka to Nepal. Just take a random journey, having no real direction and time frame. Surf the coast and climb a mountain, who knows what will happen inbetween.

Heading Back to Canada Next week. Then off to Thailand for some much needed sun and sea. Possibly a wee trip to Bali for a wave or two.

My Mum is Papuan, Dad first generation Kiwi. That makes me one of those Halfies taking the world by storm, but Kiwi through and through.

I'm fired up on:

Surfing and SnowBoarding obviuosly.

Rugby. Any true Kiwi was born with rugby in there blood. I will be going to the Rugby world cup next year to watch the All Blacks crush everyone.

Outdoors. I really get depressed if I stay in a city for to long. Mountains, rivers, the coast, great vistas. Their timeless nature gives perspective, we are not as important as we would like to believe. To be reminded and to remember this is liberating

Tunes I rock out to:

Try Some Fat Freddies Drop, Rhombus or Black Seeds (some NZ Pacifica)

otherwise the Local Acoustic Styling in some cafe or around some camp fire

Travel style:

Unless it is cold or I have sports equipment, I like to travel with a day bag. Board shorts, jandals (flip flops or sandals), Singlet (tank top or wife beater), the minimal. I have generally travelled by myself, but have no real opinion on it, as long as people don't close doors of opportunity with there travel style.

I felt the most immersed in a foreign culture when:

I was invited to travel with a local his comunity above Luang Pabang in Lao. No english was spoken for the whole time and I was welcomed like a brother.

Why I travel:

I had questions I need to answer myself. I Like challanging environments. I needed to grow up.

Cuddled up with someone you care about.

Waiting for that perfect last wave of the day

glad to hear canada was a blast. i can imagine it was one big blinder.. which i assume is new zealander for bender.

Where are you these days? when are you coming back through town? Anyway, I had a kick ass east coast road trip and i just got back to Berkeley where i need to figure out my next employment move. hope to see the london blog soon.

Yo how was xmas.

Had a blinder in Canada. That and being burnt out from work I have done sweet F all back here in San Fran (lots of sleep). 'Cept go surfing in some very large surf. Got to surf under the Golden Gate, saw that on a Vid once. Sort of lived out a dream, so am pretty stoked. Might see if I can work a blog on that. Blogs thats why I was posting. So wrote one on the third world conditions of London.
It's a bit long tried to condense it and got a little confused as to where I was going with it. So Let us know what ya think.
