About me:

I used to live in Brooklyn with my husband and young daughter, Lila. Then we sold everything and left to travel. We're looking for a new place to call home, but we're taking our time and enjoying the trip.

I'm fired up on:

Writing, diving, swimming in lakes where the water is cold and your feet have no hope of touching the bottom. I love trying new things. Anything new is interesting to me. Love cooking too.

Tunes I rock out to:

They change by the moment and mood, so I'll just say what I've bene into lately. Patti & Tuck. Cat Power. Krishna Das. Paul Wall and Chamillionaire.

Travel style:

We take as little as possible, but enough so that if we decide to stay permanently, we have what we need. That usually means about two suitcases, two backpacks, computer and a camera. I'd say at least half of our stuff is our daughters.

Sports I do:

diving, running, yoga (all kinds), swimming, hiking

Favorite books:

Love in the Time of Cholera

Who I'd like to meet on my travels:

Open minded and honest, all the rest is gravy

Languages spoken, other than English:

French, Hebrew, Spanish, some Italian

I felt the most immersed in a foreign culture when:

Meet someone and communicate, really communicate, in a language entirely other than English.

Why I travel:

It keeps me from taking things for granted. My world grows larger. It makes time stand still, keeps me in the moment.

Ideal place to watch the sunrise:

On the dock in Bocas del Toro, before the boats start running

Ideal place to watch the sunset:

Buffalo, NY (they are absolutely beautiful here)

Before I die I'd like to:

Become a dive master and a chef. See Gaudi's architecture. Learn to snowboard and surf, I mean really learn. See as much as possible. Learn as much as I can.
