being a young college student still, i havent TRAVELED as i have VACATIONED. there's a big difference between the two. but since ive been reading these travel narratives, all i want to do is drop everything and go somewhere. serious wanderlust. i want to pack a couples bags, grab a few good books, a camera and journal, some money and an open mind, jumping on the first plane going to somewhere exciting. truth is, i can't function unless i have a plan, even though my one wish is to be truly spontaneous. i think it sounds like such an exciting, life-changing way to travel. ending up in Somewhere, meeting the locals, getting to know the place, taking pictures of everything, staying for a day or ten, moment by moment. so far from my personality, but if i could actually do it, that's the travel i'd love the most.
