I am a freelance writer and jeweller. I write mostly for blogs and magazines, and am priveledged to be able to write about almost anything that takes my interest, although I am a regular contributor to blogs about jewellery, weddings and writing.

Travel style:

I'm an organized traveller. I like to travel armed with itinerary, maps, bookings and a full stack of luxuries in my luggage. That said, once my bag is safely in my hotel room, I can wander around aimlessly for hours, just following my nose to find places that are only known to locals. I love quirky, out of the way places that offer an authentic feel of a region. There aren´t too many unexplored corners of the globe left, but the world is always changing so we never follow exactly in one anothers' footsteps.

Sports I do:

Don't make me laugh! Snorkelling is about as sporty as I get.

I ate at an Appleby restaurant in the US. Not sure what that says about me, or the US culture?

Why I travel:

I adore learning about new places. I love the idea that the way I live my life isn´t the only option. I am fascinated by the things that different cultures find important.

Hi Angela,
Some good places to check out for the nightlife are Calle Alfalfa, which is a big spot on a little street that all of the locals go to. If you want to mix it up with more internationals, head to Calle Betis. There are some cheap bars there like Big Ben and Fundicion. Another places locals hang out is near Plaza Almeda.

For great, cheap tapas head to Antigua near Plaza Nueva. Basically, the entire city is full of life and energy, so you will definitely find a good time. Have fun there.
