About me:
i'm a traveler and a musician, a storyteller and writer, a farmer and a poet, a teacher and a student, a builder and a craftsman; i am what you think i am, and i am what i think i am too, at least i think so. as far as the musician thing goes, i do a solo show using a looping pedal to weave guitar, bass (using an octave pedal), sitar, mandolin, thumb piano, an assortment of djembes, shakers, bells, whistles, and so forth into a sonic tapestry that brings a smile to your ear and a hearty tap to your foot. i love moonrises, the smell of balsam forests, backrubs, music that causes a chill down the spine, snuggles, looking for fossils, warm summer nights when you can sleep outside without a blanket, cold winter nights when you can't tell where earth ends and space begins, when my dog pees because he's so happy, crawling through caves, cool streams running under hemlock trees, seeing patterns in water, talking with an old friend and making new ones, and about a million other things that curve my lips into a grin. and, yes, i love my dog mu. he's the ill shit.

This poem was written while i was living with a family in the small village of Basgo in the high mountain desert of Ladakh in the Indian Himalaya.

its playful dance with the wind

its roots embracing the earth
