I love my family, friends and good food (even though I can't cook). And of course, travelling!! I'm known far and wide for my varied and awe-inspiring battle-dance techniques. I've never lost an arm-wrestling match. I can almost speak Spanish and I'm currently in the midst of a quarter-life crisis.

One of two styles - either with a big crew of my closest homies going big, balls-to-the-wall style or cruising around a new spot on my own with a map/guide, camera, ipod and comfy shoes to explore all the nooks and crannies and soak up some culture style.

Writing books and making films that challenge the way we think about our fellow human beings. To somehow wake people up to the proper way to live their lives healthfully and peacefully. To encourage others to do better for themselves and the planet. To push all things green.

I felt the most immersed in a foreign culture when:

I spent a year living with Spanish host families in Cordoba and Madrid. Being forced to live with only native speakers is crucial. You eat their food, go where they go, attend parties, festivals and all kinds of things a tourist would never even know about. You are immersed in their way of live, their ways of looking at the world and you are forever changed and enriched by it.

Why I travel:

To remove myself from the tiny bubble that is our comfort zone.

I'm a writer/videographer looking to explore some amazing areas and present them to the world in creative and intriguing ways.

Other than writing travelogues and shooting travel show-type stuff, I've always wanted to collaborate with some folks on a film shot in an exotic locale using some of my favorite films like City of God, Battle of Algiers, The Constant Gardener and The Predator as models. Holla!
