Places I want to go to:
Just about anywhere (except Disneyland) - the big five are Nepal, Iran, Italy, India and, often, Home.
About me:
I hate driving and am frightened of cars, but can trek through Cambodian jungles without a trace of nerves.
I love fishing and reading good books and small campfires. I aspire to a simple, self-reliant lifestyle, but am hopeless when it comes to complicated mechanical tasks like tying my shoes.
I always seem to meet wonderful people, no matter where in the world I go.
And although I've been lucky enough to travel a great deal, I can honestly say that my favorite place on earth is my hometown of Craftsbury, Vermont. Someday, this is where I want to settle down.

Yup still in junior foreign diplomacy training but anxiously waiting for next september....then i'll know where my first post will be.....i'll be blogging....
I love all the good energy that's pouring into Matador these days, but even though the new Matador Network should be your home for a daily travel fix, there are a couple of other quality travel websites out there.
One of the most respected of those sites is Worldhum.com, and I'm stoked to announce...

Thailand, where heavy use of toxic pesticides is commonplace and

Big, fat, wet snowflakes falling against a backdrop of new spring green. Just 2 days ago it felt like July - a full day hanging out in a field, making paper mache Dr. Suess characters for my friend's annual Solstice party, drinking homebrew - I even got a sunburn.
