About me:
I first discovered my love for travel at age 12, when I traveled to Australia for two weeks as part of a group of 40 "student ambassadors." It was my first big trip (first time really away from home without my family) and my first trip abroad, and it left with me a sense that if I could do that, I could do anything!

Since then I spent two weeks in Spain with a small Spanish class in high school, and then I really got to spread my wings in college! I spent my spring break freshman year volunteering in Iquitos, Peru; a semester in Florence, Italy my sophomore year; a semester in Bangkok, Thailand my junior year; and a summer interning in Sydney, Australia. During and in between each time abroad I spent as much time traveling as possible. I backpacked Europe with a couple friends (even trekking down to Morocco to visit the Sahara - AMAZING!), explored Southeast Asia with friends and solo, and did my own round of New Zealand!

I love travel and as a recent graduate am now battling between the push to get a "real" job and be "responsible" and my burning desire to travel more and see the world.

Hi Racharach,

Thanks for your advice and empathy - it's nice to know I'm not the only one who has this dilemma!

Hi Racharach,

Welcome to Matador. You seem like a professional study/volunteer abroader. Glad to see you around. Hope we'll see more of you!
