I'm interested in going to Peru sometime in the forseeable future, and Tim Patterson said you'd probably have some good insight -- particularly about surfing. How is it for beginners? By "beginners," I mean square-one, totally inexperienced: The only surfing I've ever done was one day in New Hampshire on a board that I could've run laps on, so for all intents and purposes I guess I've never surfed before :P Any sage words of advice on places to rent and beaches to start out on without getting jellied would be much appreciated.
