Favorite places I've been: 
I went around the world on a ship once upon a time. I've lived in Edinburgh, Scotland, and traveled around Europe a couple of times. I've been almost everywhere in the USA, but my favorite place is my beloved New Orleans, the city that care forgot. In these post-delugian days I'm living the good life in Southeast Asia, visiting India when I can and working in Korea now and then.

You're right, I do have some stories from India. Also right that I'm busy building and cooking and swimming and gardening, but I'll spiff up some things I wrote while I was there and repost 'em here for you and anybody else who cares.

Bodhgaya.  I left Kolkata on the night train on Wednesday, which was perfectly on time in both departure and arrival.  Nothing I know about India could have prepared me for the peace I would find in Bodhgaya, the place where the Buddha
reached Enlightenment under the Bodhi tree 2550 years...

Dude, it's a rare occasion, I'm crunked in Chiang Mai.  My family (aunt, uncle, and 28-year-old cousin) are in town.  I'm soon on my way to the beach--Krabi and Koh Lanta.  I hope it's not raining.  I'm leaving behind all my obligations at the farm and heading down to get a tan, go...
