About me:

I go to Miami University in Ohio and am currently interviewing for jobs since I graduate in May 2008 with a BS in business (marketing). I hope to travel throughout North Africa and Western Europe this summer after graduation (still looking for travel buddies!). I think the travel gene runs in the family since my sister has been to double the countries I have (this summer she spent 3 weeks in Morocco...so jealous!). I lived in London for about two months this past summer, and also lived in Toulon, France for two months when I was 15. I hope to travel the globe eventually and visit everywhere! But right now I'm running through the motions of college and extracurriculars. I am Vice President of my sorority and basically enjoy doing everything! I may fit the sorority girl image at times, but those who really know me, know that I would have no problem hiking for a week in the wilderness or traveling across Europe for a month with nothing but a backpack.

I'm fired up on:

skiing and snowboarding are by far my favorite sports! I'm from Buffalo, NY which has snow 6 months a year, so it is the perfect activity! What my friends don't know, I like writing blogs and researching EVERYTHING! If something I read sounds interesting, I could research it for hours to find out everything about it.

Rascal Flats, Tyler Hilton, The Fray, Ingram Hill, Snow Patrol, Timbaland (had to trow that in!)

travel with a friend (two or three people make it more of an adventure, and less lonely)

I want to make a difference by:

...opening America up to culture. Outsourcing/Offshoring is not a bad thing. We are not the only country in the world and by outsoucing we are helping less developed countries become stronger. What goes around, comes around, so be patient America and travel to see other cultures...there is more outside our "world".

I felt the most immersed in a foreign culture when:

I was in Ireland (with my id and euros in my pocket) drink at a pub. I had to cell phone, no camera...I did not feel like a tourist, I felt like I belonged there.

Why I travel:

with each location I travel to, I become 10X more mature and intelligent. That may sound lame, but you truly feel more knowledgeable after each voyage.

Ideal place to watch the sunrise:

Haleakala Volcano on Maui (Hawaii)- the most beautiful experience ever!

in my hot tub as it set over the trees
