On top of the ones that I'm visiting on the aforementioned trip? All over S. America, especially Peru (the Inca Trail!), Brazil (hangliding onto Ipanema Beach!), etc. Russia. Iceland. Bhutan. India. Africa all over.

About me:

I'm graduating university and I have a sneaking suspicion the rat race isn't worth it. I'm fun, I'm a hard worker, I love accomplishing things, but I'm tired of being told what to do and how to alphabetise files and that I should be putting a down payment on a condo. I have ALWAYS wanted to travel. I'm sure I always will.

I'm about to do it by myself and I expect I'll like that the best. I don't like to plan but I like to be knowledgeable -- that is, I want to know what's in a country, what to see, what the smart ways to go about it are. But I'm not planning it out or creating an itinerary! And I am ALWAYS open to change.

Other travellers who I can become great friends with. Locals in every country I meet that I can sit and talk to and learn something about. Random entertaining weirdos. Religious people from different parts of the world.

I want to make a difference by:

Heavily impacting the lives of a few people, doing work that has a positive impact on the wonderful in some way that's all my own, being a wonderful friend and family member, and being the love of someone's life.

Languages spoken, other than English:

Italian and French.

I felt the most immersed in a foreign culture when:

Watching a match at Old Trafford.

Why I travel:

I have to. I have an insatiable curiosity about the way other people live, the way they used to live, the way their beliefs and lifestyles differ from mine and are the same as mine, and so on. I am a hopeless aesthete and one of the things that makes me happiest in life is experiencing beautiful little moments, and traveling is chock full of them.

Ideal place to watch the sunrise:

Over the Rocky Mountains.

Ideal place to watch the sunset:

Over a lake.

Before I die I'd like to:

This list would be way too long to complete but a select few: bungee jump, learn to play the piano, learn to speak German, teach dance, raise a happy family, feel fulfilled.
