Favorite places I've been: ARGENTINA in general, of course Buenos Aires, but especially the northwest, and the Quebrada de Humahuaca in particular. Other than that, Valparaiso Chile (I want to live here one day), Pisa in Italy, upstate NY, the Appalachian mountains, Asheville NC, NC beaches, the west coast of France where my ancestors were sailors. I love taking the Chinatown bus up and down the northeast of the US and stopping in DC, Philly, NY and Boston. Anywhere I have to speak Spanish.
Places I want to go to: After going westwards for so many years I'm feeling the urge to travel East. I think I'll start with Greece, and then eventually go to China again, or maybe Thailand. To be determined! Other than that I pretty much want to go anywhere and everywhere. India, Australia, New Zealand, Kenya (I've wanted to hike up Mount Kilimanjaro ever since I read Kessel's "The Lion"), Morocca, Israel, Turkey, Prague, Budapest and all all all of Latin America. Especially rainforests that have monkeys.
About me: I grew up traveling between France and the USA, and as soon as I started doing my own thing I continued the lifestyle, just expanding the borders a bit. My first obsession in life was reading, my second was Spanish, my third was philosophy. So I'm trying to figure out a way to combine all of those things and make a living otu of it, all the while avoiding offices as much as possible. Neon lights make me a bit nuts. Also I've been teaching for a while now, and I really love it.
