About me:
I'm fully sick with the travel bug and can't stop traversing the globe. I've been traveling consistently since 2004 and have at least another three years to go before I settle down. I recently have started writing about my travels and you can find my work here, as well as on my blog (http://www.nomadicmatt.com), and the Lonely Planet MySpace pages.

Great website Nomadic Matt. You have a nice selection of pictures that are inspiring and beautiful. When you are in Europe, don't miss Spain and Portugal. I absolutely fell in LOVE with Spain. Especially Madrid, where there are heaps of good people, great classical artworks, and miles of avenues for fun and frolics at night. Barcelona is beautiful as well, but it's too hip for me. Just one big Euro-festival at the moment. Apparently its the "cool" place to go, so everyone has flooded in and it's hard to find anyone who is actually from there. And if you do, my experience is that they weren't too open.

And, if you liked Prague, you'll like Portugal. It has the same old world feeling and beauty and majesty to it. I went to Porto, which is the second largest city next to Lisbon. It was quiet, but awesome and interesting to walk through. Plus, they say they have the best wine there. It is the home city of "port" wine. I don't drink myself, but I am sure you'll be stoked if you do!
If you are interested in Spain, I have quite a few blogs on it. I will keep up with your adventures as well.

A stunning, hour and a half train ride through the English countryside take you to Salisbury, home of the famous Stonehenge. It’s an easy day trip but I found that Salisbury has a lot more to offer and, in fact, Stonehenge is the least impressive part of the town.

Salisbury has been...

Hey fellow Matadorians!

As some of you know, besides writing articles for the Matador Network, I also run my own travel site. A week ago, I upgraded my site. It's much cleaner, better optimized, and overall like 500% better than my old site was. I love just looking at it (I wrote most of the html code...

I get a lot of questions when I tell people I travel alone.

“Don’t you get lonely?” “Is it safe?” “How do you meet people?”

People are amazed that I’ve traveled so much by myself. “I couldn’t do, especially for so long.” They say. Yet I wouldn’t do it any other way. Traveling...
