Hello! I read your travel blog about Bristol, having lived here all my life it was pretty weird to read it from your point of view! Have you spent much time around the Gloucester road area? lots of fun to be had! I particularly love that Bristol is so green and lush, I live near the Downs so I have a lovely balance of greenery in the city! I'm travelling to Thailand soon so would be interesting to hear what you thought of Chiang Mai. Did you go to Laos?

Hey! Sorry I didn't reply sooner - I'd sort of forgotten about Matador for a bit.

I love the Gloucester Rd area - I'm living just by the arches - with the sunshine recently it's been nice at St Andrew's Park... (Well, I'm herefor a few more weeks - then Tanzania for the summer and back in time for the school year. I'm hoping to find a place in Bishopston, Montpelier, or St Werburgh's next year.)

I had an incredible time in Thailand and I loved Laos! When are you leaving? Where are you planning to go?

If you are interested in traveling to Peru and spending some time making significant contributions to the development of its poorest communities, please consider volunteering with us, Nexos Voluntarios. We are a non-profit organization supported by the InterAmerican Development Bank that seeks to match the skills and interests of volunteers with the needs of impact-driven local and international NGOs working in Peru. Check out our website when you get a chance (www.nexosvoluntarios.org), and let us know if you have any questions, either on our Matador page or at . In all your travels, we wish you well!

Loved your blog about Bristol! I just moved to Swansea a few weeks ago. I haven't been to Bristol yet, but I believe I'm only a little more than an hour from you. My two friends that I'm living with are actually on the road to Bristol right now to attend a 3 Doors Down concert. I declined to go... not really my kind of music.

Can I add you to my network? Maybe we can connect at some point during our time in the UK.

I went back to Kikatiti. We found the kikaiti Happy Watoto Home.

I took my brother – three years younger than me, exactly the age I’d been when I went there three years ago – to find the orphanage. We just dropped in; none of the contact info that I had was still working. I’d seen the orphanage,...

I came to Arusha over a week ago to attend the East African Association of Palaeoanthropology and Palaeontology Conference.

It was incredible.

It was inspiring – and intimidating – incredibly, intimidatingly, inspiring.

Richard Leakey gave the opening address; the conference was,...
