I spent the first two years of my life in Hawaii where I grew a strong appreciation for tropical beaches. My formative years were spent in Oakland where I listened to gangsta rap and drank 40´s of old E in public parks. When I got to LA for college, I did my best to avoid becoming a material girl. There I organized the UCLA jazz and reggae festival where I got to chill with Sean Paul long before he was famous. For my junior year abroad I headed to the gastronomic capital of Italy, Bologna. It was here that my love for homeade pasta and cafe culture was confirmed. After college I got fed up with LA traffic, so I headed to NYC for the subway and energetic vibe. Through part time work as a hostess in a happening West Village restaurant, I discovered my passion for wine. After endless nights of tasting and talking after-hours at local wine bars, I got promoted to sommelier. Since then, wine has become a vehicle for me to learn more about the world, connect with like-minded people in my travels, and drink along the way!
