Not sure yet, but my guess is either somewhere in sub-saharan Africa, Brazil or France.

Favorite places I've been:

Paris has my heart. But I also love Essouira and Fes, Morocco for its art, music and rastas. Cairo cuz that's where the family is. Geneva, cuz its home. Palestine cuz it inspires me. Stockholm for the underground scene.

Places I want to go to:

I'm anxious to see sub-sharan Africa: Senegal, Cameroon, Cote D'Ivoire, DRC, Namibia, Rwanda, Burundi, Kenya, Malawi, Tanzania, Sudan, Uganda, Mozambique, Madagascar. I also want to see Iran, Russia, the Brazilian jungle, Latvia, Poland, Ireland, all of the carribean islands -I'm very anxious to see Cuba - Luxembourg, Australia, Peru, Honduras, Alaska, Romania, India (esp. Darjeeling & Calcuttta, Afghanistan, Cambodia, Myanmar..... and many more after I finish those places.

About me:

I got my BA in International Studies and French from HSU and have ambitious dreams that involve making a difference, travelling, art, music and living comfortably. Currently I'm working at a travel agency that is bringing me on my way to fulfilling a 1/5 of those dreams. I intend on studying Capoeira in Brazil for some time too.

I'm fired up on:

Biking (I wanna cross countries on a bicycle), cooking in a clean space, house plants, home decorating, Afrobeat,-Brazilian-Batucada-Indian Beats-Makossa and Souk dancing, visiting art museums, eating gourmet food, playing with arts, playing with instruments, learning languages, color experimentaion, making up poetry and trying to freestyle while stuck in traffic, watching movies with my nephew, holding my 1 week old niece, sleeping naked in warm weather, sleeping outdoors, I love to camp in Sequoia.

Tunes I rock out to:

My favorite music to listen to while travelling is whatever illegal CDs vendors have in the marketplace and whatever my cab driver is listening to. I also always ask for home made mixed CDs from people I meet along the way - couldn't tell you the names of the artists though.

Travel style:

I don't like schedules, but enjoy destinations. I like to spend the nights in the homes of locals and its even better if they have kids. I also like home-made food the best. I don't like looking like a tourist. I prefer trains to planes or renting a car. I'm terribly embarassed if I don't know how to say anything in the local language so I almost always have a few questions or responses to say in that language and I try hard not to have a distinguishable accent. I don't like tours unless I'm getting paid to be on it. And I prefer to travel with as few people as possible for flexibility.

Sports I do:

Mainly biking, hiking but I also enjoy soccer, swimming, horseback riding, archery and debauchery.

Favorite artist(s):

Dali (of course), goya, my sister, and the first female artists because they know what it means to struggle.

Favorite books:

Fountainhead, Black Boy, Fear of Flying, Godot, Kite Runner and more.

Who I'd like to meet on my travels:

Entertaining people who like to talk, dance and eat good food.

I want to make a difference by:

Inspiring people.

Languages spoken, other than English:

French and some Russian, Arabic and Swiss-German.

I felt the most immersed in a foreign culture when:

I'd have to say the first time I really felt I belonged was when I got into a shopping cart argument in French in a Parisian market.

Why I travel:

I'm obsessed.

Ideal place to watch the sunrise:

From the bedroom window after sex.

Ideal place to watch the sunset:

Cairo rooftop during the call for prayer.

Before I die I'd like to:

Win an award commending my hard work.
