About me:
The doors of what my preconceived notion of life should be were blown smooth off from setting my feet on foreign soil. Now each and every day I'm consumed with thoughts of the amazing people, places and daily adventures that awaits me. Working on a plan to live abroad for awhile at the moment and traveling as often as possible.

no, no you're not the only okie who loves to travel! i will say it's been quite the struggle to explain to people here why i need to leave.

okie: "sooooo you're really leaving the country?"
me: "why yes i am. life is an adventure, right?"
okie: "you're not getting married or having kids any time soon?? you're 26, ya know?"
me: *sigh*

that's how our convos go around here. ;)

well, happy travels to YOU. glad we could connect here.

Glad India is on the calendar! Very cool . . . except for the temps that time of year, that is. Monsoon in India. On my last trip I went specifically for monsoon. Had been there every other month. Day time temps in Varanasi were 90-100+ . . . but it's the humidity that does it. You get some feeling how a steaming lobster feels.
But it is NO reason not to go. Travel may be slowed, or at times, halted if the rains are big. You just have to manage your timings of your siteseeing/sightseeeing. There are also the mountains, and many people simply head higher. But there is so much to see on the plains.
The next best thing to being in India is talking about it. As questions arise, throw 'em my way.
Take care

P.S. My only and first (Ever) blog is now on my profile page. Look it up, it's about India. Wrote it ten years ago now.

Hey Michael - glad to see that India is on your list . . . and no less, at the top! Amazing place. Powerful, peaceful, chaotic, cathartic . . . like Alice's Restaurant for the Soul.
I've spent some years there over the last twenty five. If I can be of any help, drop me a line.
Peru was my first place. Macchu Pichu knocked me down, literally. My first look and I knew . . . had to have more of this.
til ?
Peace
Scott
