I felt the most immersed in a foreign culture when:

Christmas Eve epic story: Im by myself in my new apartment, completely empty, I decide to take the plate of brownies I made my depressed self to the rockin party down the street. I show up to a whole bunch of locals...and they all stopped talking...I quietly muttered something...and then they roared with laughter and invited me in!

Why I travel:
