I want to make a difference by:

I'm torn between a few paths right now: I'd like to venture into counselling for expats abroad and/or running an eco-friendly hostel and/or working on an organic vineyard in the South Pacific.

I felt the most immersed in a foreign culture when:

Wearing a local apron while locals are teaching me how to cook the local cuisine.

Why I travel:

Why not. Mobility does not equal irresponsibility. Why only stick to what I already know?

Ideal place to watch the sunrise:

6 am outside Shibuya station in Tokyo

Ideal place to watch the sunset:

I'd take a blanket of stars over a sunset anyday. Specifically from the top deck of a ship on my way to Alaska.

Before I die I'd like to:

Drive boats and fly planes. Primarily to fly down to the Caribbean, scuba dive for a spiny lobsters with mesh bag in hand, grill them on a beach, eat them on the beach, then fly home.

8:37 pm. Twenty meters below sea level. Suddenly, darkness. I'm in the midst of a night dive in Sipadan, Borneo and my flashlight just went out. I give my buddy the appropriate "I'm trying my best not to freak out" signal as he reaches for his backup light to hand...
