Favorite places I've been: Kalimantan Timur, Indonesia, Derawan Island, Indonesia, Sulawesi, Indonesia, The Philippines, Sunggai Kinabatangan, Malaysia, Mae Hong Son, Thailand, Queensland, Australia, South Island, New Zealand, Bodfish Island, Alaska
Places I want to go to: Papua, Indonesia, India, Africa, numerous national parks of the USA, Burma, Cambodia, Komodo (for diving and dragons), and just about anyplace that anyone suggests to me!
About me: I finished my tour as a Environmental Volunteer with the Peace Corps in the Philippines in June 2006. I travelled for about 1.5 years in SE, trying to make my readjustment allowance last as long as possible. Though it was fun, about a month ago I decided it was finally time to go back home (you know how Forrest Gump just decides one day to quit running, that's kind of how it was for me). Now that I'm home, I'm eager to learn more about producing my own food and living as sustainably as possible. There is a long list of volunteer/fellowship opportunities at home and abroad that I want to do before I settle down, so I may never do so. Eventually I'd like to go back to school, but there are too many exciting fields to go into that I am unsure of the direction I want to take...but that's jumping ahead.
Something random: I was a matador years ago. It was my high school mascot!
