There are big-world people and small-world people; growing up with military brat parents, and being plunged into expat life at the age of five made the big-world folks my tribe. I love the instant ease and comprehension shared by people who understand that there's a lot going on beyond their immediate horizon. I've traveled quite a bit (but I still feel like I'm just getting started), and lived in a few different places - yet somehow, I keep ending up on islands, and I've never lived away from the water. If I can't be by the ocean, though, than I'd rather be in the desert. Ditto cities and really remote areas: I'm very comfortable in both, but the suburbs make me itchy. Right now I'm working for a new travel video website and writing the house blog. Getting to think about travel all day isn't helping my wanderlust, but it's also a great luxury.
