About me:

For me, travel is a lifestyle. A year ago I dreamed of combining work and travel and I now have a job I love working for a cruise line. I have worked on three ships so far which have taken me from the Caribbean all the way up to the East coast of Canada as well as the West coast of Mexico and the USA. I will be working and cruising in Alaska for the summer season and I plan to explore the adventurous outdoor activities offered in our ports of call. Working and living on a ship is an amazing experience because we are somewhere new every day and I never know what I will discover.

I'm fired up on:

Singing and playing guitar or piano, dancing, reading, writing song lyrics/songs, writing creative pieces, pool, darts or other games that can be played in a bar, mountain biking.

Tunes I rock out to:

Everything from Elton John to Rage against the Machine. I like country, and reggaeton, show tunes and boy band revivals. If it's got a catchy tune and a beat I can move to, I like it.

Travel style:

I have been fortunate enough to travel in luxury, staying in 5-star accommodations and eating the finest foods and drinking the finest wines. These aspects of the trip were memorable and enjoyable, however I have also learned that they are unnecessary. I have done backpacking trips and stayed in questionable hostels with inconsiderate roommates, but my overall experience of getting to know a new city was the same as on the high class trips. I would rather be able to stay longer and see more than splurge on a fancy hotel any day.

I felt the most immersed in a foreign culture when:

My friend and I were in La Spezia, Italy and nobody spoke English so we had to use broken Italian and sign language to purchase bus tickets to our destination.

Why I travel:

Because staying in the same place for too long makes me restless, and there are so many beautiful things to see in the world.

Before I die I'd like to:

Visit all seven continents, own a villa in Southern Spain, rent a ski-chalet in Switzerland for a winter, bike across a country or two, and sail in a yacht on the Mediterranean.

Yes, that is the ship I worked on in those photos. It was a nice ship. I am going to work on a different one next, but within the same cruise line.
