About me:

I recently arrived in Taiwan to begin teaching ESL!

I'm also an aspiring writer. I dig fiction, but I'm a firm believer that the best stories are true.

I like collecting maps of places I've been, especially ones I've used and marked with esoteric scribblings. I love to kayak and swim and when I'm not listening to music, I enjoy attempting to make it, though it sometimes turns out better than others. I'm also and avid doodler and I try to read a lot when I can find time.

Doing what I can.

Some Spanglish & learning Mandarin (slowly)

I felt the most immersed in a foreign culture when:

I'm living there.

Why I travel:

To experience, write and live, but most importantly to relate and put things in perspective.

Before I die I'd like to:

In no particular order: See the northen lights, learn to sail and navigate by the stars, attend the RedBull Air Race, write a novel, become a pool shark, ride an elephant, wage peace, start a family-band (but not as intense as the Jackson 5), and add something to this list for every one I cross off.

Let's collaborate:

We could write a song or an epic poem like they used to do, or maybe just build a camp fire. Or we could start our own microbrewery with a special recipe, but the formula would have to rock. Also, I can write stuff. Eloquent stuff.

It's true, I shouldn't vow to never return somewhere. I never thought I'd wind up living in Spain and going back to some of the places I went in Europe as a 17 year old. Such is life. Thanks for the comments man!
