Hungary, Ukraine, Russia, Mongolia, China, Canada, USA, France, Germany, Austria - route for our around-the-world journey by tandem bike.

About me:
We, Joshua, a traveling nomadic Australian born in Bangladesh and Carol, an equally nomadic Hong Konger, will attempt to break the world record for the fastest time around the world by tandem bicycle, beginning in mid-April and ending in mid-November. We aim to arouse awareness about the need for cleaner transportation, as well as encourage those with disabilities to live life without reservations despite their physical conditions (Carol has an impairment on the left side of her body due to an accident at birth). Another unique aspect of this journey is the fact that we are both from different cultural backgrounds, and we hope this will encourage greater racial integration and understanding.

Hello!

My name is Sándor Kovács, I'm from Hungary.
Sorry, my english not good! I saw them, 2008 aprily 20. They were camping behind my house, in hungaryan city: Nyékládháza. We - I and my wife, Anita - talked a little bit, we offered them cookie. Both of them were healthy. Following day they wake up, and go on.

Josh and Carol! I'm happy, that I found you! We read the message following day, and a little bit we were sad, because you went away. You traveling very much heavy and will be beautiful. We - my wife and I - we wish you much fortune and strength. We think for you with love, always!

First of all, sorry everyone for this very long-awaited update for our journey. Our news is we are not in Russia or anywhere near it...we're in France on the way south to Lyon. So to take you very quickly back to the start without burning all our cash for the expensive internet connection here...we rode...

My eleven-year dream is about to come to true…or at least I’ll get to start it. Our two wheels are ready, the luggage has been tested (we took the tandem out for a test trial yesterday with the mountain of bags on the back…probably too little too late, but what can we do when our bike’s stuck...

Our two wheels to freedom are ready, the luggage is mounting and we're doing last minute things (like buying air tickets and getting our Russian visas, both of which we should have done a month ago). We're stowing our tandem in the most unlikely and inconvenient of places -- a tiny room at...
