My original Italian trip was five years ago when I spent four months working at a disco in Rimini, Italy. Following that immersion in to a certain part of Italian culture, I took two months to travel within Italy-from top to bottom. Last year I returned to get my language skills back up to snuff. I did a five month full immersion Italian course in a small town outside of Padova in the Veneto region-not an English speaker in sight. In addition to the language lessons, I taught, an interesting insight into the culture. Following those five months, I headed down to Palermo in Sicily to work for three months-a completely different culture and language! A few new summer travels thrown in and I've pretty much seen it all, although I never tire of it.
