About me:
At the moment, I'm interested in filling in the gaps between destinations, and between their histories and the preconceived identities we assign them. That's why I prefer to explore a city on two feet and everything else on two wheels--not an inch is passed over.

Awesome! I started in Galway, made it down to Cork, and then made it up to Dublin...beautiful country! I got my Claddagh ring in Galway and I wear it everyday.

Hey, Hal. When are you going to turn up in Argentina? Is Buenos Aires on the itinerary? If so, let me know!

Your S. America travels sound amazing...am reading a book at the moment that you might enjoy:

"Chasing Che" by Patrick Symmes, who is a New York-based writer who focuses on Latin American Politics, globalization, and Third World travel.

Symmes retraced Che's Motorcycle Diaries adventures on a BMW R80 G/S dubbed "Kooky" with his notebook, and a copy of the diaries kept by Che and his travel companion, Alberto Granada.

I'm about 1/2 way through right now and have been inspired to make my way to that part of the world on motorcycle; his observations and reflections from the road about the wild landscape, the people, and the journey that transformed a young idealistic traveler into one of the most recognized icons of the world today.

Anyways, thought you would enjoy the read...

Happy Travels!

As soon as the man in the off-white smock and blue rubber boots swung open the door to the slaughterhouse, I knew I’d to have to breathe through my mouth.

They were massed in different forms, different chunks, in each of the complex’s white-tiled rooms:

Pelts of curly, rough wool, fuzzy on one...
