Fairly landlocked durring the winter. Busy with studies. Hopefully in a few months.

Favorite places I've been:

On top of Mt. Adams for a godly sunset. Unfortunately, it was viewed by my brother and I as we carried an injured climber down the mountain.

Places I want to go to:

- Above all else, I wish to continue exploring, climbing and tasting western America. From the Snake River Canyon to the top of Rainier to the forest of the Hoh and Redwoods, there is so much at my back door.
-I want to explore the Yucatan and Belize.
-Deep down Alaska calls to everyone.
-Mt. Olympus (Washington,) is tucked away in America's forgotten mountain range, the Olympics. My brother, JoshyWashington and I are planning a trans-Olympic range hike. We think it should take about 10 days. Halfway through we will summit Mt. Olympus and come back down through the Hoh rain forest.
-I want to go to Death Valley for the same reasons I enjoy climbing up mountains. It is humbling to experience the ancient parts of nature that can kill you so easily.

About me:

I've made a meager but fun career of working with and coaching children. I work with special ed elementary kids and coach high school and middle school wrestling and track & field. I sing more than I talk and I wish I had more time to read. My life long adventure partner is my brother Josh (aka: JoshyWashington) We've had few tough times on Mt. Adams, been stuck at sea in Costa Rica and "hunting bears" around Huge Creek when we were kids, but somehow we have been unscathed for 24 yrs

I explore for the elevated sense of awareness and reality that comes with precarious situations.

Exhausted, and content with a numb brain and an aching body...

Before I die I'd like to:

Climb to 20,000 feet, become a better cook and painter, earn another college degree, bench-press 275, beat Josh at "roof ball," and coach a state championship team.

Let's collaborate:

I want up-to-date info, ideas and company for adventuring in North America. I want a network of reliable people and information. I think a community like Matador can attract trust-worthy people who can help each other out. Exp: Lets say I want to Climb Mt. Shasta. Wouldn't it be great if I could stay at a fellow Matadorian's house in Shasta city for a night or two? Or if someone is coming to eastern Washington to rock climb or explore Stuart Mountain Range, they could stay at my place in Ellensburg. We Matadorians could be a network of hostals, encyclopedias, expedition partners and guides for each other.

If we do it when I get back it will be the spring melts; yawning crevasses, avalanches, yeti...I think we should do it blind folded!
Or do something else in May and hold out for June when the weather could be somewhat enjoyable...
