Trying to assimilate as much as possible. Saying "hello" a lot; meeting kids and older people; sitting down in one spot for awhile to get a feel for a place.

Why I travel:

The usual: To learn. To get lost in the now. To challenge myself and what I believe (at times). To make "my" discoveries - however big or small they appear to others.

Ideal place to watch the sunrise:

east coast of Australia waking up with the sun for a week while staying at a WWOOF farm - we had no electricity, the sun decided our hours.

Ideal place to watch the sunset:

floating on a surfboard hanging out with good friends

I've already got a bit of a guilty conscience (and I really don't know why?). Taking a few bus rides most everyday, there is always at least one sad story coming on the bus, handing out cards or whatnot, and asking for money. I feel like a bad person when I don't give out any cash (most times). ...
