I am going to attempt to get to New Zealand when I am in Australia for Study Abroad. I want to go just about everywhere though, and should probably start a list before too long :)

About me:

I am an Undergraduate Student of Environmental Science, who loves to travel! I spent part of my childhood moving back and forth between Austin, Texas and an Indian Reservation in Wyoming. I am a bit Native American, Irish and English, but mostly Texan. I love to go out cliff jumping at Lake Travis, Two stepping at the Broken Spoke and Hiking at Enchanted Rock. I take each new day as an adventure and try to smile even when I am not feeling like it (something about endorphins).

I'm fired up on:

I am pretty interested in Environmental Conservation and Shifting the power in the favor or Environmental Justice. The Woman's Indigenous Network and The Pachamama Alliance always have my attention. I am a big fan of the CouchSurfing community, and love to show people around places that I know. I am a big dancer, usually to drum circles, country bands, Reggae or Gypsy music.

Tunes I rock out to:

I have found Beck to be excellent writing music for me when I want to just chill out. When I feel the need for something I can dance to I usually turn to Manu Chau or Damien Marley. If I am about to embark on a political journey, I usually get pumped up with Rage Against the Machine. For those times when I just want to belt out some lyrics, I turn to Esthero or Corinne Bailey Rae.

Travel style:

I like to travel with other Open Minded people, but will probably take a few trips by myself someday. I like to pack light because there is no need to carry a bunch of stuff around with you to experience something. That being said, I am a big fan of my laptop and tend to bring it with me to keep up with family and friends, and do occasional work.

Changing how society interacts with Nature. Not quite sure how to do this (besides leading by example) but hopefully there is still some time to figure it out.

I come home and forget that I am in America again.

To experience, explore and wander.

On the snow covered steps of a hostel in Washington DC, a morning where you just know you are going to change the world.

At the Oasis after a day full of sailing.

Before I die I'd like to:

So many things to do! I would like to live life to the fullest I possibly can and experience as many different things as the world is willing to let me.

Let's collaborate:

I am starting to write more and more and getting into the habit of exploring places everywhere I can, and then writing about them. Wouldn't mind getting a few pieces published. I try to take pictures to accompany my work. Currently working on pieces around Central Texas and will be working on places around Cairns, Queensland in September.
