My wife Claire and I are currently living it up in Hong Kong, after our decision to quit our lazy lifestyle in Girona, Spain, for me to pursue a career in Sports Journalism led us out to the Far East.
However, the lure of the Big Easy and holidays every other week is too much to resist, and we'll soon be relocating again to San Sebastian, where we'll dine on a diet of pintxos and travels while suckling once more on the teet of TEFL and continuing to try and make a quick buck from this journalism malarkey.

Hey there,

The guided tours are pretty good I think they're around $100 per person though. Personally I think there's nothing better than hiring a van or a car so you can do things at your leisure. I hired a van for the great ocean road for $50 a day and it was so much fun!

Normally it's hard in Hong Kong to find any sight or historic monument that's older than your Grandad, but tucked away up in the north-western corner of the New Territories there's a group of well-preserved ancient monuments just waiting to be discovered along the Ping Shan Heritage...

Pretty much every visitor who comes to Hong Kong comes to Lantau Island, seeing as it's the site of the airport at Chek Lap Kok. Those who come back here to do some sightseeing during their trip however come mainly for two reasons: 1) Disneyland 2) The Big Buddha (also called Tian Tan Buddha). In this...
