Nice to travel alone sometimes- increases the opportunities to meet other people, but having company is lovely as well- increases the value of a nice dinner, or a bottle of wine...

I felt the most immersed in a foreign culture when:
i notice that facial gestures and intonations are common amongst languages. you may not understand exactly what someone is saying...but it doesn't take an idiot to have an idea.
Why I travel:
to open my eyes... see farther and wider with my soul.
Ideal place to watch the sunrise:
probably the South Pacific...
Before I die I'd like to:
speak 12 languages, be a traveler extraordinaire, working humanitarian, published writer, and accomplished artist...i'd also love to be somewhat adept at playing a few instruments...
