I grew up in a small town in Louisiana called Olla....left to travel and attend college. Ended up in San Francisco, Cali for 10 years and right now I am living in Reykjavik, Iceland where I have been since January 2008.

Travel style:

My travel style is open. I have taken extensive trips alone, traveled with a significant other through 15+ countries, met up with friends for short stints and just had plain old vacations. I have backpacked (gone long lengths without bathing ha! ha!) to staying in 5 Star resorts.

studying Icelandic, basic Spanish (though losing quickly)

I felt the most immersed in a foreign culture when:

hiking in Laos and staying with anyone I could along the way

Why I travel:

Observe other cultures - people and places. Also the feelings and emotions that race through me while I am traveling are interesting. They certainly run the gamet. However, there is nothing like the feeling when I have returned home from a round of travels. I honestly think I am Super Woman and can conquer anything.
