Toronto is one of the most multicultural cities in the world. It sparkles not only in its people, but in its communities as well. If you would like to savour international cuisines and stroll down the streets surrounded by the echo of different languages, then welcome to Toronto. Here are my personal 5 reasons why Toronto should be seen and experienced:
.
1.International Cuisine - Here one may find authentic restaurants serving anything from real Italian Pizza, Korean bibimbap to some Peruvian pisco.
.
2.China Town - Strolling down the streets of China Town with a coconut in one hand and fresh fish floating in the other…you will find yourself, if only in your daydreaming mind, at a real Chinese food market. (Spadina/ Dundas street)
.
3.Little Italy – Italians claim that the only other ice cream tasting similar to the real authentic Italian gelato can be found in the Little Italy of Toronto. (La Paloma Ice Cream Parlour)
.
4.Yorkville – Toronto is a very modern city with high rise buildings and wide busy streets covered in pollution and traffic noise. However, along the streets of Cumberland and Yorkville one will discover a little European indulgence. These streets are packed with little posh boutiques selling clothing, furniture and accessories imported from Europe. The streets are lined with coffee shop terraces a la Euro style. If only for a mere 20 meter walk, here one will feel European.
.
5.Salsa Clubs – Being a salsa fanatic, I must say Toronto has some of the best salsa clubs, salsa DJs, salsa teachers and, most importantly, some of the best salsa dancers in the world. (Babaluu, El Rancho, Acrobat etc.)
