About me:
I love to travel, but I'm a very nervous flyer. I love road trips, but worry about my environmental impact. I am a grad. student working on my Master of Public Health degree. My focus is on maternal and child health with particular interest in the health of women in the jail and prison systems, and health disparities in the gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender community. I was trained as a teacher and have, over the years, gravitated towards the public health field which I hope will provide many travel opportunities!

I am a contributer to Girlistic Magazine (http://www.girlistic.com/magazine.htm) and Feminist Review (http://feministreview.blogspot.com/).

I live on the northwest side of Chicago and I'm SO ready for Spring and Summer in the city!

I'm a huge fan of road trips too. Your studies sound really interesting. We need more people like you in this country! Welcome to Matador :)

It’s no secret that Chicago has, well, should we say an interesting and rich political history. Hell, I voted three times in the primary held in February. I didn’t, but though some of the scandal inherent in the city has diminished, the political climate in Chicago still blows cold and shady....
