I have been paddling the waters of western Montana and the surrounding area for about seven years now. I know the logistics for most stretches of water in the state of Montana and am happy to share what i know. I am committed to river stewardship and currently serve as board president of a local watershed education nonprofit in Missoula. I am passionate about whitewater kayaking and probably enjoy playboating and low-volume creeking the most, though if i'm on the water at all, i'm a happy camper. I also really enjoy canoeing, rafting and sailing and there is something for everyone in the Big Sky State.

In the offseason (aka winter), i really enjoy downhill skiing in western Montana. We are blessed with incredible backcountry terrain and i know quite a bit about good places to get lost in the powder.

Finally, i also know a lot about good places to rock climb and ice climb in Montana. I used to do a lot more climbing than i do now, but still remember most of the best places to go and can provide good beta.

Bottom line: Montana is an incredible state for all sorts of outdoor recreation. I encourage anyone who has not been to the area to check it out: you won't regret it!
