ipod + commute to work = a better bad trip
|
I am way behind the times. For comparative purposes and to put it in perspective, if I were a woman at an LA pool party thrown by Jessica Alba, I would be the party-goer wearing the one piece bathing suit worn by Brendan Fraser's girlfriend in School Ties. For further illustration, if I were an NBA basketball player, my shorts would look like the bottom portion of my swim trunks if I were a woman attending Ms. Alba's pool party. Long story short, I'm not a woman, but I did get an ipod a few months ago, and for the first time today I brought it with me for my commute to work. My commute to work has never been more agreeable and has never gone faster. I felt as though I had my very own soundtrack in the movie of my life... granted, the movie would get ratings commensurate with Ghostdad. I may be the last person under 35 to figure this out, but listening to tunes drowns out all other clutter, and singlehandedly improves the quality of one's life. Thusly, my next few months will be dedicated to filling my ipod with music that will make me forget the homeless man breathing on me on the subway, the person pinning me against the door and the crazy man yelling at anyone with eyes. If only Apple was in charge of public transportation.. What a wonderful world that would be. |
