Don't type with your laptop on your lap. It lowers your sperm count. (Conversely, girls, if you want decrease the odds of your significant other impregnating you, put a charged laptop on your bf's junk while he's sleeping). |

What I really want to know, is even more ways to lower my sperm count... Babies would most likely ruin this beautiful life I have set up for myself (probably have to move out of Mom's extra bedroom and get a real job too!)
So, for now and the foreseeable future, my laptop will remain on my laptop.

Interesting. As I read this, my overheated laptop sat on my lap and caused an uneasy fidget. Of course, the crushing 8lbs weight of the Itronix GoBook IX250 is probably doing more damage to my testicles than a slight increase in scrotal temperature.
It interesting to note that there's a great many papers out there describing the decrease in male fertility over the last 20 years, particularly in Asian countries and the US.

It turns out that not only should we keep the laptop off our berries, but also not drink so much (guilty) or smoke (not guilty for a year now) or be incredibly stress ed (not guilty) to decrease the risk of Oligospermia (too few sperm in ejaculate) or tetrozoospermia ("weird" spermatazoa).
These papers are great, because the read like one part Penthouse forum, one part Scientific American article! For example:
The volume and composition of the ejaculate are also used to determine fertility. Ejaculate volumes less than 2ml can be associated with infertility whilst the average normal ejaculate volume is approximately 3.5ml. The composition of the ejaculate is also a parameter to measure fertility. In normal males the seminal vesicles contribute 40-80% of the fluid, the prostate gland 15-30%, and the testes and bulbourethral gland contribute less than 10%. If there is absence of a particular component in the ejaculate then there could be an abnormality in the tissues supplying that fluid, maybe rendering the male infertile.
Interesting stuff for EVERY male to read...particularly young, childless ones.
