I've been reading blogs, enviously. My travels are short, Lil Bit and I have been walking through the beauties of our extended backyard. The price of gas has taken a big bite out of some of my more ambitious plans. I am lucky that my backyard is so rich in resources. Some days we ramble through the Bookcliffs, an area that at a distance looks quite barren. Cars zoom past on I-70 never dreaming of the possibilities. Little trails meander through the quiet reaches of your heart, opening up to quiet meadows to rest your soul. Birds play with the wind, occasionaly an eagle may soar high above and take your thoughts and dreams with her. What a beautiful way to travel. We sit on boulders and drink in the peace. |

Hi, Snowloon-
Glad you're back; I've missed your meditative observations. Your posts remind me of two of my favorite poets, William Stafford and Mary Oliver. How are you feeling?
Are signs of spring finally popping up on the Grand Mesa? My dad lives out your way and said the Mesa's had record snowfalls this winter.
Thank you for the kind comments.
My 6 year old grandson and daughter in law visited over spring break and I haven't had much computer time. I'm feeling fine. We had a wonderful time on the Mesa. No signs of spring up there. We went sledding and skiing. There was more snow yesterday. Even had some on down here on the "Glade". Powderhorn closed at the end of the month, but the cross country skiing is great. I enjoy your blog and many others too. Such interesting lives!
