Well, It may not look as terrifying from space, but this is a huge waterfall. It is the single exit point of runoff from this entire section of Desolation and it gushes from Spring to Fall, with a tremendous volume of water.

The best part is, you can camp right on the edge of the last lake that pours over the falls. I've camped there three times with friends and never seen anyone else...you basically have the waterfall to yourself.

You can also *very* carefully hike and climb up and down the rocks that lay alongside Horsetail. The falls are separated into about six different smaller falls, cascading down a vertical drop of over 1500 ft.
